Women Supporting Women: AWAW is back

Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 8/16/19 – Art Women Art Week (AWAW) returns for its second year celebrating women in the creative arts industry.
The celebration kicks off Sept. 15 with a series of intimate panels, film screenings, and art installations. The festival is hosted at West Hollywood’s multi-level modern Asian eating house and rooftop, E.P. & L.P., and adjoining Melrose Rooftop Theatre.
“It’s very rare to come across a creative event that embraces women from all forms of artistic expression,” said Melissa Gadsden-Combes, E.P. & L.P.’s In-House Stylist & Creative Director. “Our mission is for guests to walk away from this weeklong series of AWAW events feeling inspired, grounded, and motivated.”
Artists featured in this year’s lineup include Dina Broadhurst, Sonni Pacheco, Bridgette Duran, Letticia Bissondut, Kari Griffith, Indigo Unveilded, Alli Conrad of Conrad Collective, Brynn Bodair, and Gillian Grassie. Each night of the female-forward programming will feature a different theme and schedule of programming.
“Our AWAW programming will include intimate talks from female entrepreneurs, chefs, producers, and journalists over the course of the week… We’re excited to have empowered women from all industries to step forward and share the most intimate moments on their artistic endeavors through Business, Music, Art, Movies, Fashion and Beauty,” noted Gadsden-Combes.
Tickets for the event start at $15 and the first 50 attendees each night will receive a gift bag valued at $350. To view the full schedule for AWAW, head over to https://melroserooftoptheatre.com/awaw-1. To RSVP,  email info@eplosangeles.com; space is limited.
