Using the hashtags #Freestyle50 and #Freestyle50Challenge, aspiring rappers were asked to post a video of themselves freestyling to the beat of Tee Grizzley’s song entitled “No Effort” on either Instagram or Twitter. The winner of the competition was slated to walk away with a single record deal with 300 Entertainment (home of Migos, Fetty Wap, and more), $10,000 in cash, and the chance to open up for a 300 Entertainment artist on tour. Eight finalists were selected out of over 9,000 submissions to come to LA for the star-studded finale.
