These are the odds of getting any of the 50 most popular dream jobs

A new infographic from Wink Slots has worked out the odds of landing your dream job. Surprisingly, it might be easier than you think to do what you’ve always wanted for a living.

Stuck in a job that you don’t enjoy? Spend most of your days thinking about what it is you really want to do? Then you’re not alone. Most of us aren’t lucky enough to land our dream jobs. And what are the chances of it happening? It must be a million to one, right? Wrong.

A new infographic by Wink Slots has carried out extensive research into some of the jobs we consider to be the perfect way of making a living. By comparing the amount of people who would love to do these jobs for a living against the number of positions available, it’s easy to work out the exact odds of following your dreams.

Fancy being a food critic? With an average salary of £33,370 ($47,000) your odds of spending your days eating out in the world’s best restaurants are 1%. Small but far from a million to one.

Love video games? Then imagine spending your days testing them out and getting paid for it. With salaries of £35,500 ($50,000) your odds are a colossal 13%. What are you waiting for? Start applying now.
