The Beastly Ball’s online auction, which benefits the Los Angeles Zoo and Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association’s shared mission to save species and connect people with nature, is open to the public. The public can bid on over 200 items, including travel, entertainment, food and beverage, art, and experiences starting today through June 3, 2023.

Items up for bid include exclusive vacation packages; one-of-a-kind experiences; wildlife-inspired art; tickets to sports, museums, and concerts; exquisite jewelry; signed memorabilia; and more.

  • Private tour with L.A. Zoo’s curator of mammals, who will lead you and a friend around the Zoo and tell you about the different primates that call the Zoo home, followed by lunch with GLAZA’s president.
  • Dinner and cocktails with pop singer, actor, producer, and best-selling author Lance Bass and the always charming Pauley Perrette, formerly of CBS’s hit action drama NCIS and sitcom Broke.
  • Autographed guitar and top hat signed by legendary Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash.
  • Personal items and collectibles from the late actress and animal-lover Betty White.
  • Adopt packages that support Zoo animals through symbolic adoption.
  • The Beastly Ball will return with actor, comedian, and host Joel McHale on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Los Angeles Zoo. McHale, who is returning as emcee for the fourth time, believes “there should be a great zoo in every great city and a great snack bar in that zoo.”

This progressive party starts “Down Under” in the Australia section and makes its way through the Zoo’s lush grounds, with guests sampling regional and global cuisine from popular L.A. eateries including Little Sister, Momed, Yakumi, El Cholo The Original, Pink’s Hot Dogs, and many more, while sipping refreshing libations from Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Company, Lalo Tequila, Olga Vodka, and others along the way. Partygoers will learn firsthand about the Zoo’s animals and conservation efforts through engaging animal keeper chats and feedings; enjoy live performances and music; and view and bid on an array of amazing silent auction items. This after-hours stroll will culminate at the Zoo’s Treetops Terrace with the evening’s program, along with dancing, drinks, and desserts by McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams, Milk Jar Cookies, John Kelly Chocolates, and Krispy Kreme.
