CBS will present a new The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special, featuring new Carpool Karaoke, Toddlerography and James Corden’s favorite moments from The Late Late Show on Monday, May 22 at 10p. Featured guests will be announced closer to air. It’s the second primetime Karaoke special for Corden and CBS.

 

Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood will host of the 44th annual Daytime Emmy Awards set for Sunday, April 30 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Lopez is in his ninth year hosting entertainment news series Extra; Underwood is a host of CBS’ The Talk.

 

CBS Sports, FOX Sports, Intersport, Lagardere, LPGA, Monster, Miami Dolphins, NASCAR, NBA, NBC Sports, NextVR Showtime, Turner, Univision, WWE are just a few of the companies that will be in the room tomorrow morning for the 6th annual Cynopsis Sports Awards.

 

Canadian entrepreneur and venture capitalist Arlene Dickinson will return to CBC’s Dragons’ Den for season 12, which begins shooting this month in Toronto.

 

New & Returning Series

Starz will unleash the anticipated The White Princess this Sunday, April 16 at 8p. The follow-up to its miniseries The White Queen returns to Tudor England during one of the most tumultuous times in British history.

 

The first four seasons of Jane Lynch-hosted game show Hollywood Game Night are headed to GSN, beginning with a five-night event launching Monday, April 17. The show will then move into its regular Tuesdays at 9p and 10p timeslots beginning April 25.

 

Synergized: CBS News will launch 48 Hours: NCIS, a six-part series that offers deep access to some of the biggest cases handled by the real-life Naval Criminal Investigative Service, on Tuesday, April 25 at 10p. Narrated by Rocky Carroll, star of CBS’ NCIS, the series will explore the kinds of cases that have inspired CBS Entertainment’s NCIS franchise.

 

TLC will debut the new season of Little People, Big World on Tuesday, May 2 at 10p. This season, the Johnston family has its fair share of ups and downs giving viewers a glimpse into their daily lives from medical issues to birthday plans.

 

Season 2 of Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry returns to E! on Wednesday, May 17 at 8p with more readings for celebrities looking for advice, connection and closure.

 

Acorn TV acquired BBC One comedy Decline and Fall, starring Jack Whitehall, David Suchet (Poirot) and Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives) and will air the three-part miniseries on Monday, May 15.

 

Bravo Media is heading to Nashville for new series Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer featuring family members Tish and Brandi Cyrus and premiering Thursday, May 25 at 10p. The mother-daughter design duo will make-over luxurious homes in need of a face lift, with special appearances by other members of the fam including Billy Ray, Miley, Noah, Trace and Braison.

 

USA Network set August 2 at 10p as the premiere date for new Jessica Biel-fronted drama The Sinner. The net will bow Big Star Little Star, which pairs celebrities with their kids as they playfully test their knowledge of one another, on Wednesday, May 31 at 9p.

 

Also coming up on the summer schedule from USA: season 2 of drug-queenpin Queen of the South premieres Thursday, June 8 at 10p; best-friends-as-parents drama Playing House returns for season 3 on Friday, June 23 at 11p; season 7 of legal drama Suits arrives at Wednesday, July 12 at 9p, with its 100th episode airing August 30; and the sophomore season of military-sniper drama Shooter debuts Tuesday, July 18 at 10p.

 

In syndication news of the week, Judge Judy delivered a sharp increase and the highest ratings of all syndicated strips despite being in repeats all week. Hot Bench grew 5% to 2.3 and ranked as third-highest daytime show, behind Judy and Dr. Phil. Phil topped talk for milestone 30th consecutive week, despite being partially in reruns. Additionally, Live with Kelly (2.2, steady)  on hiatus and airing only taped and repackaged shows  topped its closest rival Ellen (1.9, down 10%) for a seventh straight week.
