It is that time again, TCM Classic Film Festival and walking on Hollywood Boulevard heading to the Roosevelt Hotel to be part of the media, who gathered Club TCM with the TCM Host family, who I call the FAB5, including Ben Mankiewicz, Dave Karger, Alicia Malone, Eddie Muller and Jacqueline Stewart to talk about all things TCM Classic Film Festival and what they are looking forward to at this years film festival 2023.

The Roosevelt Hotel Hollywood, Official Hotel for TCM Classic Film Festival

Pola Changnon, General Manager-Turner Classic Movies stepped onto the main stage at Club TCM to welcome all the media in attendance and thanked us all for attending and helping to share The Classic Film Festival with the world and then introduced the five host of TCM starting with Eddie Muller, Jacqueline Stewart, Dave Karger, Alicia Malone and finally she said Ben Mankiewicz.

She asked them what the upcoming festival means to them and Eddie Muller said it was the fans, that he really loves meeting the fans and taking pictures with them.  Jacqueline said she agreed with Eddie and was looking forward to Donald Bogle receiving the Robert Osborne Award.  Dave Karger said he remember watching Frankie and Annette  when he was younger and that he was excited to be part of the “Beach Party’s” 60th anniversary screening at pool side on Friday night. Alicia Malone said she is always excited about opening night, which features the film “Rio Bravo” and seeing Angie Dickinson and Steven Spielberg.  Next up was Ben Mankiewicz, who joked that he was not looking forward to meeting fans, that got a great laugh as we know he always takes time to say hello to the festival attendees and take a shelfy when asked.

It was a great time with free water, soda, wine from TCM Wine Club and spirit drinks. Delicious hors d’oeuvre of spring rolls, grilled cheese, bruschetta and pork belly.

They also had artifacts and costumes from TCM’s archives, which are always great to see.
