Lauderdale affiliate was founded in 1999, Komen has invested nearly $11 million in local breast health and breast cancer awareness projects administered by local non-profit hospitals, healthcare clinics and community-based organizations. These community partners help advance the Komen mission by providing breast health education, as well as breast cancer screening, diagnostics and treatment to the uninsured and medically underserved in our communities.
