Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 12/28/19 – The series premiere of a new reality sitcom “Meet the Frasers,” following celebrity Psychic Medium 28 year-old Matt Fraser and his 21-year-old pageant queen girlfriend Alexa Papigiotis will be on January 13, 2020 on E! Entertainment at 10:00 pm, EST in two back to back episodes. It will also be seen in 153 countries.
Matt and Alexa are highly visible local celebrities in their hometown of Cranston, Rhode Island. Matt and Alexa are envisioning big things for their future. Matt’s captivating live reading events are growing more popular and his book “When Heaven Calls” will soon be published by Gallery at Simon and Schuster.
How exciting is it to be America’s Top Psychic Medium?
When my Mom and Grandmother grew up with this same psychic gift it was a different time. It was considered “taboo” to talk about psychic ability or even to talk about receiving signs. Her and my Mom never talked about this gift and kept it in hiding. I feel so blessed to think that today we live in a different world. I feel like I am being able to deliver the messages that she never was able to here in this world.
It is an honor to be considered America’s Top Psychic Medium. I have to tell you, I feel proud because I love what I do. I put my whole heart and soul into my work, I live it and breathe it every day. My fans and followers keep me going. They show me how my ability can help others heal and the skeptics remind me to always work hard.
What do you enjoy most about being a Medium?
Being a Medium, I love giving readings of course! I love traveling the country and meeting my fans and helping them reconnect with their friends and family members that have passed on. I love going to new cities, taking selfies, giving hugs and seeing how my ability helps them.
I never know what souls are going to come through and that’s the fun part. I feel like when I meet someone, I don’t just meet them, but I meet their departed loved ones as well. Sometimes I feel like the Operator in Heaven. My ability is like a phone line that’s always ringing, but I am always there to answer.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I think people will be surprised to know that I live a normal life. Well… Somewhat of a normal life. I like to think I am normal except for the fact that I see dead people. The funny part is that the dead don’t scare me it’s my family that does lol!
I have a pageant queen girlfriend Alexa that I absolutely love, an overbearing psychic Mother, Father and Sister who are my biggest skeptics. Can you imagine that my Dad and Sister don’t believe in speaking to the dead? My sister grew up without psychic ability and my Dad was away for most of my life serving the US Navy. When he came home to discover his Son was a Psychic Medium, he was little more than surprised lol.
Share some of your favorite moments as a Medium.
One of my favorite moments was when I invited on a morning show and two skeptical morning hosts asked for a reading on LIVE TV. They came into the segment not believing in what I did and by the time it was over, they were fans! It was incredible and life-changing for them! Not only to them but the world! The video went viral with over 3.4 Million views on YouTube.

That’s why I love my LIVE Events. Each is a different and unique experience. The moment I walk into the room, it’s like the audience disappears and instead, the room is filled with souls trying to come through and speak. In the course of a show, I give many readings. Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Mothers, Sons and Daughters and even pets come through in readings to speak to their families. It all happens LIVE and in real-time. Although I can’t get to everyone, there is a message to be enjoyed by all. Everyone leaves feeling uplifted, inspired and touched by the messages that came through.
Tell us about your new hit TV series, Meet the Frasers. What will fans love?
What fans are going to LOVE about Meet The Frasers is that it is so much more than just about readings. It is a look into my life, family, and relationship with my girlfriend Alexa. Fans know me from my many appearances and readings on TV and Radio and now they will be able to spend Monday nights with us and feel like that are part of the family. What people will love is that I have such a unique approach to mediumship. I LOVE to make people laugh when giving a reading. It reminds them that they can remember their loved ones in a happy way and not be sad.
I work with my family every single day. Not only will fans get to see snippets of my LIVE shows, but they will be able to follow me and my family through our workday. We get on each other’s nerves believe me! My family is very loud and opinionated but at the end of the day, we are family.
Aside from my mediumship work, I am also a family man and a pageant boyfriend! I date Alexa Papigiotois who was former Miss Rhode Island Teen USA and this year she will be competing again for the crown which fans will get to see.
Have you ever gone to a Medium?
Yes, I have! Growing up being psychic I was petrified seeing and hearing ghosts! I literally pushed this gift away throughout my teenage years. I just wanted to be normal. My Mom and Grandmother also had a psychic gift but never gave readings professionally. They did it at home in secret only for close friends and family members. I grew up with my family always keeping their ability away in hiding. When I was around 19 years old I went to go see a medium myself. I wanted to see someone who was using this gift professionally and nor running from it like my family did. I had a reading and it changed my life! At that time in my life, I was going to school to be an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). I realized after seeing a medium that I could use this ability to help people heal on an emotional level the same way being an EMT would help people heal on a physical level.
Are you an Empath?
My Mom always taught me to treat everyone like family and to just be you. Because of that, I am a high energy, motivated and a little bit high strung at times lol. I say what’s on my mind and my fans love for that. Doing this work I am also very sensitive so I do pick up on people’s feelings and emotions and because of that, I feel a deeper understanding and closeness to my fans and followers that I meet.
You are the Bestselling Author of, “When Heaven Calls.’ What inspired you to write this book? Can you share an important passage?
When Heaven Calls is my newest book, it launches in March of 2020. Here is the first paragraph of my new book. I love because so many people really don’t know what a Psychic Medium is. Some think of it as scary and trust me there is nothing spooky about me! I am not an old lady with a crystal ball, just a guy who sees dead people wearing unique clothing and lives in Cranston RI. I am hoping that my book will inspire others to share their own experiences they had with Spirit and that it will demystify the realm of psychic ability and remind people that your loved ones are always with you.
People not in the habit of chatting with the dead have a hard time imagining what my life must be like. Based on some of the comments and questions I receive, I’m pretty sure they think I spend most of my day sitting cross-legged in a trance, maybe hovering a few inches off the ground, leaving Rhode Island and my physical body behind as I journey across the veil to the spirit realm, before making a quick stop at a psychic tea room to read coffee grounds and gaze into a crystal ball. It’s really not like that at all. The real Matt Fraser is just an ordinary guy who just so happens to speak to dead people and I am happy to share my life with you…
What should fans expect on Meet The Frasers?
Fans can expect to laugh! I had no idea how funny my family was until I watched the season! I also didn’t know how real reality TV actually was! Fans will see the inner and outer working of my family which is far from ordinary. Our relationship, our love and the challenges we face along the way, not to mention our secrets are now out lol. I never expected that me trying on a pair of man Spanx would have made it on TV lol. Now all of America knows!
Who would you like to bring on your show?
I would LOVE to read an icon like Cher. My girlfriend Alexa and attended her show last year in Boston. It was incredible! There was a moment in the show while she was performing that I saw Sonny up there with her in Spirit. It was like seeing two celebrities for the price of one lo. It was pretty cool! But it also showed he still cares for her and watches over her which is so beautiful. I wish I could have told her and gave her a reading.
Can you share a moment with a celebrity that brought you to tears?
So fun fact… I never cry during a reading at least not anymore. I used to when I first started 10 years ago. I would hold my client’s hands and cry with them. How could you not? When you are a medium you see things in visions like being in a movie. Some readings are so beautiful you just can’t help but to cry. Now, after doing thousands of readings, I am seasoned. I don’t let my feelings for emotions distract me, I know what is more important is delivering a message.
However, I just did a reading for Dr. Paul Nassif from the TV Show Botched. The moment I walked into the room his Mom was standing right behind him in Spirit waving and so excited! I started to read him and he immediately broke down into tears. I felt so bad that he was going through so much pain, but the reading from his Mom made him feel so much better. It’s funny because when I give a reading I experience spirit in many different ways. I see them, sense them, feel them and sometimes they even come through with familiar smells. When I was reading Paul and saw his Mom I immediacy smelled her Jean Nate perfume. He was shocked it was her favorite! I love little moments like that because it shows that just because your loved ones pass away, they do not lose their personality. I may not have cried, but the crew did!
Tell us about Matt Fraser in 2020.
2020 is going to be an amazing year! With the TV show launching, I have expanded my tour nation-wide to meet and read for fans and audiences all over the country. I have a new book that’s being released by Simon & Schuster and you will see me on some of your favorite TV shows reading some of your favorite celebrities and TV show hosts. The best part is that I will be doing it with the people I love most- my family, if I can survive them!
Although this may seem like an oxymoron, do you have any other thoughts?
Yes! The one thing I wish made it into the series that didn’t were more readings. The episodes are only 30 mins long so it is impossible to include every single minute or every reading, but I want fans to know that they can find the readings that didn’t make it in on my YouTube Channel and also my website MeetMattFraser.com.
