Martin Sheen at Anne of Green Gable's Book Reading Event

sheenYesterday afternoon at the Barnes & Noble in NYC’s Union Square, Martin Sheen and Kate Macdonald Butler, L.M. Montgomery’s granddaughter, participated in a PBS book reading event for Anne of Green Gables. A broadcast special based on Montgomery’s classic novel will air on PBS on Thanksgiving night, Thursday, November 24 at 8/7c. Sheen and Butler read passages from the classic novel to a group of 3rd grade students and other visitors, even after Sheen joked about how nervous he was to read in front of a large group of students. They also took questions from the audience, where Martin revealed that his favorite character he’s ever played was President Bartlet on the series “The West Wing.”
