Maisonette’s New Editorial Platform

Keri Russell at Maisonette’ first birthday celebration and launch of its new blog, Le Scoop

Maisonette’s 1st Birthday Celebration and Mural Unveiling was last night at Pier 1 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Maisonette co-founders and Vogue Magazine alums Sylvana Ward-Durrett and Luisana Mendoza-Roccia hosted the exclusive fête where attendees including Kerri Russell, Karolína Kurková, Huma Abedin, and Jill Kargman gathered to celebrate the e-tailer’s first birthday and launch of its new editorial platform, Le Scoop (more information below).

The chic crowd joined together for the unveiling of the public art mural created by award-winning artist and children’s book author Oliver Jeffers to commemorate Maisonette’s one-year anniversary. Inspired by Jeffers’ New York Times best-selling book, Here We Are, the large-standing masterpiece will be on display at the Harbor View Brooklyn Bridge Park until July 2, 2018 (more information below). Following the unveiling, guests headed to the Osprey for an intimate cocktail hour and dinner.

WHERE: Pier 1 Brooklyn Bridge Park

DETAILS: Here You Are, an installation by Oliver Jeffers in celebration of Maisonette’s 1st birthday, is a reminder to keep things simple, and remember the basics. Starting with where you are. The nearly fluorescent landmark will provide visitors to the park with a jewel toned sky using the constellations as an old-fashioned guide map.  Instructed that this is, ‘How to Find Your Way if You are Lost’, we are anchored due west and provided a compass, thus gaining our bearings in the bustling ethos of New York City, an unlikely moment in our -sometimes confusing – boroughs.  On the other side a bold arrow points to an open space begging you to claim your spot.  Everyone needs to be somewhere, and Here You Are. The large scale mural is sponsored by Baby Bjorn and Mustela.
