OUTFEST TO HOST SNEAK PEEK PREMIERE SCREENING OF NEW MICAELA WITTMAN DRAMA REMY & ARLETTA
LOS ANGELES (July 19, 2022) — Coming-of-age LGBTQ+ drama Remy & Arletta, written by and starring Micaela Wittman (“Teen Wolf”) has been added to Outfest LA’s lineup.
The film reunites Wittman with her Clairevoyant co-director, Arthur De Larroche, who is at the helm for Remy & Arletta as well. “There could be no better place to premiere this film than Outfest,” he stated. “We look forward to sharing it with the audience there and the steps beyond that will get it out to worldwide audiences.”
Remy & Arletta, is adapted from Wittman’s own best-selling novel of the same name, based on a true story. Remy (Wittman) is under the thumb of her alcoholic and abusive mother (Amy Benedict). She latches onto her best friend, Arletta (Riley Quinn Scott, Something’s More Than One Thing), as a coping mechanism, but soon learns that their co-dependent friendship is more than she realized.
The debut screening will take place on Thursday, July 21 at 5 PM PT in DGA Theater 2. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Wittman and Director Arthur De Larroche (Clairevoyant, American Bistro) and a hosted reception.
