James Maslow will be honored with the Awareness Spotlight Award this Saturday October 14 at the Awareness Film Festival in Los Angeles.
The former Big Time Rush star is to be honored at the special night at Allies Worldwide Gallery for his outstanding work in shining a light on the tragic social issue of sex-trafficking through his music and his tireless charity work with the organization, Mission Save Her. His latest music video for his song, “Cry” demonstrates his dedication to the cause by paying tribute to the victims of sex-trafficking and their hardships and courage.
“James is a powerful voice in helping raise awareness to the human trafficking epidemic around the world, including here in the United States”, says Awareness Film Festival director, Skye Kelly. “Bringing awareness to his fans can help potential victims and families protect themselves. With his desire to use his fame for a good cause and his passion for helping others, James is a great fit for our 2017 award”.
