IT’S WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH – Honoring Diana Serra Cary: Hollywood’s Silent Era Child Star BABY PEGGY Passes at 101

Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) March 9, 2020 – On February 24, 2020, Diana Serra Cary aka Baby Peggy passed away. She was the last living Child Star of the Silent Film Era. She was also an avid supporter of the “A Minor Consideration” organization and friend of its founder, child actor, writer, and activist Paul Petersen of The Donna Reed Show fame. The following is his tribute to her:

“Dear Diana,

It’s not everyone (sic) that makes it to 101 years! Congratulations to our beloved Baby Peggy. All of us at A Minor Consideration Salute you as one of our earliest and best Child Stars. The years have not dimmed our admiration and respect for you. Not only did you survive, Diana, you carried on with intelligence and gifted storytelling.   With Love,                                            Paul Petersen”

In September of last year, our columnist Sarah Key interviewed Baby Peggy for what may have been her last interview.
