It’s Tiki Time at Hollywood’s Egyptian Theatre

Come for the shopping and Tiki drinks, stay for the movies! Taking place at the historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, the American Cinematheque’s 15th Annual Tiki Night kicks off at 1:30pm with a Tiki Marketplace in the courtyard, featuring vendors selling new and vintage Tiki related art, clothing, accessories and more. Highlights include a “Hawaii on Film” presentation in the theatre at 4pm, live performances by King Kukulele & The Friki Tikis and the Polynesian Paradise Dancers; Tiki cocktails by Damien Montanile & Associates; and food available for purchase from Aloha Fridays and Hang Loose Hawaiian Shaved Ice food trucks. At 7:30pm King Kukulele hosts the double feature: Gidget Goes Hawaiian (1961) with Deborah Walley; and Paradise, Hawaiian Style (1966) with Elvis Presley.
