Germany-born Julian Martel got a head start in sharing his musical talents at the early age of 14, competing on The Voice Kids in Germany where he quickly became a fan-favorite. His performance of Hunter Hayes’ “Wanted” prompted all three judges in the competition show to push their highly coveted red buttons and fight to mentor the budding star.
His success on the show earned him international attention, co-writing and recording with other rising social media talents, including Mike Singer. Martel caught the eye of rising US boy band New District, and after accepting a spot in the group, joined them for performances around the world, sharing the stage with international superstars such as Fifth Harmony, Troye Sivan andDaya. New District even earned a Teen Choice Award nomination in 2016, putting their names in thousands of homes across the country and gaining an even larger fanbase.
Now at only 17, Julian is launching into a solo career, creating edgy, R&B-influenced pop music that follows in the footsteps of his inspirations like Justin Timberlake and Zayn Malik. With over 177k+ Instagram followers, Julian’s fan base is growing daily and he’s thrilled to finally be able to share his new music.
