Sister Sledge gearing up for their next release Women are the Music of the World (WAMOW)
Sister Sledge, famed for their award-winning, worldwide hits such as We are Family, Lost in Music and World, Rise and Shine, have kickstarted their UK summer tour which sees the group bring their groove to summer nights.
The tour began in Dublin on Saturday 23rd July at Punchestown Music Festival where Sister Sledge took to the stage along with artists such as Lionel Richie, Corinne Bailey Rae and James Morrison.

Brighton Pride on Saturday 6th August
Sister Sledge will be offering a grand finale to the 3 day celebration of love and acceptance.
Shambala, Northampton on Friday 26th August
The three day event will see Sister Sledge headlining the Friday festival, which will welcome an eclectic mix of people, food and music.
Now That’s A Festival, Dagenham on Saturday 27th August
Sister Sledge will be performing alongside Peter Andre, Alesha Dixon and Blue
Sunshine Music Festival, Worcester on Sunday 28th August
England’s greatest family festival welcomes Sister Sledge to the stage to entertain the sold out venue.
The group, who actively celebrate women empowerment and spotlighting the inequalities and injustice that millions of women face around the world, are soon releasing their new track Women are the Music of the World (WAMOW) in early October. The new track is part of their campaign Nothing Is Greater Than Love (NGTL) which was launched to send a message to their fans of love, empowerment and unity.
They gave London a sneak preview of WAMOW during International Women’s Day activities during CARE International’s Walk in Her Shoes event. The event was supported by other influential female empowerment champions such as Annie Lennox and Bianca Jagger.
