[Hollywood, CA] June 21, 2018 – Noted author and legendary Hollywood matchmaker Scotty Bowers has joined Twitter at the tender age of 94 to help celebrate the upcoming theatrical release of Matt Tyrnauer’s acclaimed documentary “Scotty and the Secret History of Hollywood” and to pass on his special brand of life wisdom and sexual joie de vivre to new generations.

Pansexual before it was cool, Bowers has been living and espousing the “no labels” lifestyle for over 70 years and while the closet isn’t as crowded as it once was, he has decided that the Twitter generation can and should benefit from his talent, knowledge and legendary discretion!

As active, curious, engaged and magnanimous as ever, Bowers recently decided that he wanted to continue his life’s work and use his prodigious and unique talents and deep understanding of and affection for, the many facets of human sexuality and thus,  @ScottyBowers was born. Bowers will interact, respond to DMs, impart his life wisdom to the Twitterverse and maybe even help a few folks make new friends…

Bowers arrived in Hollywood after World War II and the handsome ex-Marine quickly became the confidante, aide-de-camp and lover to many of Hollywood’s greatest male—and female—stars, connecting his friends with actors and actresses who had to hide their true sexual identities for fear of police raids at gay bars, societal shunning and career suicide. Until recently an unsung Hollywood legend, Scotty ran a gas station in the shadow of the studio lots where he would cater to the sexual appetites of celebrities—straight and gay–for decades.

In 2012, he finally spilled his secrets in the New York Times best-selling memoir “Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars,” which revealed a dramatic, pre-Stonewall sexual history of Hollywood. While the studio PR machines were promoting their stars as wholesome and monogamous, Bowers was fulfilling the true desires of many of them, including Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy, Lana Turner, Ava Gardner and many more.

Greenwich Entertainment will release SCOTTY AND THE SECRET HISTORY OF HOLLYWOOD on July 27th in LA and August 3rd in NYC (nationwide expansion to follow)
