Hollywood Park Casino Celebrates Grand Opening Weekend with a Series of Luxury Events

HPC officially opens adjacent to the City of Champions, future home of the Los Angeles Rams.
INGLEWOOD, Calif., Oct. 24, 2016 — Hollywood Park Casino (HPC) became the first of numerous establishments to open as part of the bourgeoning Inglewood Community on the west side of Los Angeles this past weekend. The storied casino celebrated its grand opening weekend with a $1 million cash giveaway, and a series of events including a VIP party on Friday and a celebrity poker tournament on Saturday.
A host of celebrities and VIP’s packed into the expansive 110,000 square-foot facility as part of the much anticipated grand opening weekend. Guests dined on decadent cuisine including caviar, tuna tartar and truffle fries prepared by casino Executive Chef Yann Peron and enjoyed signature drinks from Veuve Clicquot, Grey Goose and Patron.
Following a $1 million cash giveaway Friday, nearly 30 celebrities took part in a bounty celebrity poker tournament in partnership with Rock the Vote. The Saturdaynight event concluded with singer-songwriter Ryan Cabrera spinning tunes in Raise Lounge, a semi-private and elegant new addition to the casino.
The Casino began a rebuild in July 2015 and is part of an effort meant to breathe new life into the area and attract visitors, similar to what LA Live has done for downtown Los Angeles. Sitting on nearly 11 acres in a newly emerging renaissance district and directly facing the expanded Century Boulevard, the new HPC location is just steps from the former location. As part of an updated art and social community minutes from Downtown Los Angeles and three miles away from Los Angeles International Airport, HPC sets the latest standard for Westside gambling.
The facility is 40% larger, holds 35 more gaming tables, and include a 20 percent increase in high limit. Further, the casino also includes three beautiful bars, a fresh American fare diner with a wide selection of craft beers and cocktails called the Century Bar & Grill. HPC also offers a fully-stocked Deli complete with freshly made sandwiches and snacks as well as Peet’s Gourmet Coffee & Tea, and a blended beverage bar.
