
Day one of the BET Experience at L.A. Live was presented by Coca-Cola®. BET put together a rundown of the highlights from Friday, June 22.
BET Experience at Staples Center Concert with performances by Chris Brown, SZA, Ella Mai, Teyana Taylor
Last night’s show opened with Ella Mai, who brought out surprise guest TyDolla$ign during her hit song, “She Don’t.” Also, taking in the sets were BET Awards show host Jamie Foxx, and Kendrick Lamar who came out of the crowd to take his own photos of SZA from the photographer section. Crowd-pleasing sets came from the closers, Chris Brown and Teyana Taylor.

BET Experience Celebrity Dodgeball Game
The BET Experience at L.A. Live presented by Coca-Cola® hosted the highly anticipated all-new “Celebrity Dodgeball Game.” With commentary from Christian Crosby, Gia Peppers – participants from the “Love and Hip Hop” casts: Ray J., Safaree, Stevie J., Yung Joc, K. Michelle, Nikki Mudarris, Rasheeda, Momma Dee, Karlie Redd; Nick Cannon competed with each other, and team “Hollywood” swept team “Atlanta” to take home the winning trophy. We also saw surprise guests from “Wild N Out” as well as the hit boy band, PRETTYMUCH and music from DJ Brittany Sky.
Acoustically Speaking sponsored by M&M, featured special musical guests who shared their insight on the scope of the music industry from their unique perspectives. Exclusive performances capped the candid conversations. Jussie Smollett, Lecrae and Gallant each graced the stage for intimate Acoustically Speaking performances, hosted by Big Tigger. During the evening, Luke James and Gallant battled it out to see who could hit the higher note and the crowd loved Jussie Smollet, who offered the audience a candid and honest conversation about his sexuality, success from “Empire” and his recent move to becoming an Indie artist.
