Here’s Your Gay Desert Guide for Easter Weekend Apr. 15–17, 2022🌴

Easter Weekend: April 15–17, 2022

The “kids” are back in town – gathering from all around the globe for the Coachella Music and Arts Festival. It’s back after a COVID hiatus like everything else. And while Ye won’t be on the bill, there are dozens of others who deserve a listen and recognition.
Locally, Giselle Woo & the Night Owls are nervously awaiting their debut on stage. Woo was a student of mine when I taught radio at COD, and was just getting started. I’m happy for she and her assembled multitude and wanted to give a shoutout as Coachella Weekend 1 gets underway.

Live music is back in Palm Springs as The Alibi reopens. I attended a warm up party last night and talked to Liz and Melanie about their future plans. Big Freedia is on the stage Saturday and Sunday with a great lineup of indy music on the marquee.I’m off to The Living Desert for “Glow in the Park” and will have a report Monday morning on KGAY 106.5. It’s a little quieter than what’s happening just down the road…

And listen to KGAY 106.5 Palm Springs no matter where near nor far from the Coachella Valley. Enjoy this great weekend in #GreaterPalmSprings
