Harper’s BAZAAR Global ICONS Portfolio & Bloomingdale’s 150th Anniversary Fete

What:              Kicking off NYFW, Harper’s BAZAAR and Bloomingdale’s came together for an unforgettable night—Bloomingdale’s 150 x BAZAAR ICONS—celebrating the Harper’s BAZAAR annual global ICONS portfolio and the iconic retailer’s 150th Anniversary

Set at one of New York City’s most iconic locations—Bloomingdale’s 59th Street—the event drew inspiration from New York City nostalgia and brought together some of the biggest names influencing style and culture today.

Bloomingdale’s 150th Anniversary—honoring both the brand’s rich history and looking ahead to its next era—was toasted at the event alongside this year’s group of visionary ICONS talent, including event attendees Ella Emhoff, Evan Mock, Jack Harlow, Moses Sumney, Oscar Yi Hou, Qualesha Wood, Xiye Bastida and Ziwe Fumdoh.

Harper’s BAZAAR ICON and 3X GRAMMY nominated rap superstar Jack Harlow performed hit songs including “First Class”, “Industry Baby, “I WANNA SEE SOME ASS,”  “Already Best Friends,” and “WHATS POPPIN”, backed by DJ Drama.

Guests engaged with a host of interactive experiences including a vintage-inspired arcade, featuring old-school games mixed with custom Bloomingdale’s 150th games and prizes. A New York-inspired newsstand in collaboration with Manhattan’s iconic Casa Magazines—hosted by Casa owner Mohammed Ahmed, and manager, Syed Wasim (“Ali”)—offered complimentary copies of the Harper’s BAZAAR September ICONS issue and exclusive Bloomingdale’s 150th merchandise. Event fare was inspired by quintessential New York City foods and a custom cocktail was made in partnership with Project EATS—an installation of neighborhood-based farms growing food on vacant lots and rooftops across NYC—founded by Linda Goode Bryant, who was also featured in the September issue of Harper’s BAZAAR.

Friday’s event kicked off a series of special Bloomingdale’s 150th Anniversary experiences across the country including collaborations with top designers, exclusive merchandise, immersive events, and more.

FIJI Water is the exclusive water partner of Bloomingdale’s 150 x BAZAAR ICONS. Baccarat Residences Miami is the exclusive real estate partner of Bloomingdale’s 150 x BAZAAR ICONS.
