San Diego, CA (The Hollywood Times) 07/23/2016 – The stage introduction for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 panel started off with a lively exchange between bad guys, better known as the Ravagers.  The stars of the movie then joined the stage and new footage was shown, specially put together by director James Gunn for Comic-con fans.  Hall H attendees were thrilled as Baby Groot stole their hearts as it made its way (with much moxie) alongside Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, and Michael Rooker.  Also shown in the trailer is an appearance by Sylvester Stallone which pleasantly surprised the fans.

Additional cast members on stage included Kurt Russell who plays Ego, Star-Lord’s dad, Elizabeth Debicki, Karen Gillan, and Pom Klementieff; as well as Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios chief.

Panel moderator, Chris Hardwick, commented that it’s exciting to see an old foe become the new ally in the movie.  At that point, Feige agreed that the exploration of new relationships was keen and enriching to the storyline.  He then made a crowd pleasing announcement that Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! – will be a new attraction coming to Disney California Adventure Park in Summer, 2017.
