The LGBTQ artists who he applauded tonight, along with so many others who have worked on or appeared in his projects, are truly changing the industry. With a persistent dedication to spotlighting marginalized and diverse stories in the most powerful ways, Ryan Murphy ushered in a new age of LGBTQ storytelling and is so very deserving of the Carol Burnett Award.”
