Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Feynman Li is thrilled with how his company, Chillax has done well for itself.
“Our baby monitor products help parents and grandparents to ‘see’ their babies easily, both locally in the house or remotely via the app. During the pandemic, travelling and seeing the children in person was much more difficult, which is why business has done so well.”
While hi-tech baby monitors can be expensive, Li feels that his items are well worth their value. “We design products with care and detail, and read a lot of our consumer reviews to understand what parents want and babies need.
Winner of the best value baby monitor award in Forbes magazine’s tested best baby monitor roundup, the Chillax Giraffe Cam Pro is reasonably priced at $150. The product features a 4.3-inch high-definition video parent unit along with privacy protection on the camera unit, allowing parents to switch between Wi-Fi and non-Wi-Fi enabled connectivity. The cam also works with the ChillaxCare app, as well as Alexa and Google Assistant, and includes 24 hours of free cloud recording storage.
“What I love about the Giraffe Cam Pro is how it offers the option of Wi-Fi or turning it off, which is great for deciding between the security and privacy of a standalone monitor or the freedom of using my phone to connect to your baby feed,” said parent Kathy Que. “I really appreciate that parents can even switch back and forth, using the monitor for their busy day-to-day, and connecting by phone if I have to run to the store, while my husband looks after our child.”
Li pointed out Chillax products are created for parents by parents. “I feel like this gives us an edge over other companies–we truly care about our products.”
Having launched their new Baby Mood AI Smart Monitor earlier this year, Li is excited to meet with potential clients at CES 2023, to showcase their upcoming products.
“There are a lot of unique features that we are cooking to make Parents Chillax, e.g. we are developing Ai both in the edge (inside the camera) and cloud to help parents taking care of babies, e.g. detect objects covering both and nose, sleep on stomach, breathing detections etc., to reduce the risk of SIDS. But I would like to take the opportunity to tell users that any baby monitors are just a tool to help, parents cannot rely 100% on baby monitors for baby safety.”
