Clexacon 2021: Connecting Virtually Across Community

Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 4/26/21 – On April 16-18 2021, Clexacon, a convention that centers lesbian, trans, nonbinary identities in entertainment, content creation, and fandom. It is the first and largest multi-fandom event for LGBTQ+ women, trans, and nonbinary fans and creators. Additionally, its main goals are to connect and empower those within LGBTQ+ communities. At Clexacon, celebrities can sign autographs and be photographed with their fans.

This year, Clexacon was held virtually and hosted a number of queer guests, such as Jes Macallan, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Melonie Diaz, Bethany Brown, Jaime Murray, Joanne Kelly, Toya Turner, Kristina Tonteri-Young, May Lifschitz, Maddie Philips, Devon Hales, Emily Goss, Iyari Limon, Vico Ortiz, Leo Sheng, Clarissa Thibeaux, Kristin Butler, Mary Chieffo, Felicia Day, and many more. In addition to its work in queer representation in the entertainment industry, Clexacon is also affiliated with multiple nonprofits. In 2020, Clexacon was affiliated with Project Q, Victory Institute, WIRES, and Start the Wave.
