Join renown lgbtq+ historian and Author Lillian Faderman for IN HER WORDS as she celebrates 20th century lesbian fiction through interviews with numerous lesbian authors, including Ann Bannon, Rita Mae Brown, Jewelle Gomez and Sarah Waters. The film documents key moments in history and how those events shaped their craft and modern place in literary culture.
The film screens Saturday, September 17 at 7:45 pm with a second screening on Thursday September 22 at 5:30 pm. Both screenings take place at the Palm Springs Cultural Center at 2300 E. Baristo Rd, Palm Springs. Director Lisa Marie Evans and Author Katherine V. Forrest will be attending the September 22 screening only. Group discount sales are available for this event.
