A glamourous New York crowd gathered at The Carlyle hotel to celebrate the premiere of Matthew Miele’s documentary film ‘Always at The Carlyle’ presented by Moët & Chandon (official trailer). The celebration kicked off with an exclusive screening of the film at the Paris Theater followed by a private afterparty at the iconic Carlyle hotel.

The premiere debuted on the heels of Monday’s Met Gala – to which The Carlyle famously hosts Hollywood and the fashion industry’s A-list to dress year after year for New York’s most elite gathering. While the Rosewood Hotel has housed some of the world’s most famous clientele throughout its 87 years, the stories within the walls of The Carlyle rarely leave the premise, until now. Miele’s ‘Always at the Carlyle’ offers a provocative peek into the pop culture history, all from the mouths of The Carlyle’s own guests and employees (more details below).

Notables including models Christie Brinkley and Nina Agdal; designer Veronica Beard; actresses Jill KargmanSusan LucciJudith Light; Chef Geoffrey Zakarian; singers Alexis Ray Joel and Paul Shaffer; television personalities Regis & Joy Philbin and fashion icon Iris Apfel gathered to celebrate the debut. Guests sipped personal sized bottles of Moët & Chandon Champagne from golden flute toppers late into the evening paired with caviar, toasting to the iconic Upper East Side hotel.

While the walls at The Carlyle don’t talk, they definitely whisper. Matthew Miele’s Always at The Carlyle brings to life the untold stories of this legendary hotel as heard from the mouths of its own employees and top clientele, including George Clooney, Anjelica Huston, Tommy Lee Jones, Vera Wang, Anthony Bourdain, Roger Federer, Wes Anderson, Sofia Coppola, Jon Hamm, Lenny Kravitz, Naomi Campbell and Elaine Stritch.

The film will open to the public on Friday, May 11 at The Quad theater in New York, and additional theaters across the country found here. For additional information, please visit
