Ladies And Gentlemen: Barenaked Ladies And The Persuasions is set for release on April 14, 2017.
Pledgers can pre-order the album in digital, CD, and vinyl form now on the Barenaked Ladies campaign page. Produced by Gavin Brown, Ladies And Gentlemen: Barenaked Ladies And The Persuasions was recorded live off the floor with The Persuasions. Before hitting the studio together, and after running through about 25 songs from BNL’s extensive award-winning catalogue, both BNL and the Persuasions’s excitement grew and the songs were narrowed down to the final 15 tracks featured on the LP.
The album marks the groups’ first collaborative recording project, an idea that was sparked when BNL invited The Persuasions onstage during their 2016 Last Summer On Earth tour. The album will feature BNL tracks including: “One Week”, “When I Fall”, “The Old Apartment”, and more.
Fans who pre-order from the album will receive an AccessPass, which will give them early access to the project; additionally, they will get updates, streams of the tracks, behind-the-scenes studio footage, sneak peeks into the collaboration, and more, through PledgeMusic. Furthermore, fans of the Barenaked Ladies will also be able to pledge on exclusive merchandise bundles and one-of-a-kind items from the band.
These include: a special package featuring a signed drumhead, BNL beanie, vinyl, and T-shirt; a BNL kitchen kit including a signed apron, oven gloves, and spatula and a signed CD; a bundle including your very own signed BNL hockey jersey, beanie, limited-edition Kleen Kanteen with BNL artwork, vinyl, and exclusive T-Shirt; and much more.

ABOUT BARENAKED LADIES
“Gotta see the show, ’cause then you’ll know,” sings Ed Robertson on Barenaked Ladies’ chart-topping hit, “One Week”. That’s as good a description as any about seeing these rock icons in concert, an experience filled with the kind of energy, precision, finesse and outright celebration among its fans that is a tribute to Barenaked Ladies’ remarkable longevity. The band is still together after nearly three decades, producing 14 studio albums which have collectively sold more than 14 million copies, won eight Juno Awards, earned multiple Grammy nominations, a U.S. chart-topping single (“One Week”) and the theme song to one of TV’s most popular shows, The Big Bang Theory.
ABOUT THE PERSUASIONS
Founded in 1962, The Persuasions first came together on the street corners of Brooklyn with a musical inventory deep rooted in gospel, with a major measure of soul, and a dose of pop. Featuring original members Jimmy Hayes and Jayotis Washington, along with Raymond Sanders and Dave Revels, their eclectic repertoire has drawn from country to blues to gospel to rock to jazz. The group has released 26 albums, performed in concert halls worldwide, and shared stages with such seminal artists as Lou Reed, Ray Charles, Bruce Springsteen, Richard Pryor and Frank Zappa.
