Exactly Like Nothing Else Package Offers Guests
Unprecedented Access to the “Surf Instructor to The Stars”

SANTA CRUZ, CA (July 26, 2016)—Hotel Paradox, with its urban forest design that celebrates the nature, mountains and redwoods surrounding Santa Cruz, now a part of Autograph Collection Hotels, launched today their Exactly Like Nothing Else Package (ELNE), which allows guest to have a private surf lesson with Robert “Wingnut” Weaver, the most elusive surf instructor in the industry.

Wingnut, who starred in Endless Summer II, does not advertise or publicly offer surf lessons, in fact, unless you already know one of his students, there is no way to set up a lesson, until now. The ELNE package by Paradox allows guests an experience that is usually only reserved for the who’s who of Silicon Valley, rock stars and the glitterati. In addition to the lesson and hotel stay, guests have the option to add a custom surf board by legendary shaper Doug Haut, who is the head of the creative team for Santa Cruz Surfboards.

“As part of the Autograph Collection Hotels, Marriott International’s distinctive portfolio of independent properties, each hotel is tasked to offer one-of-a-kind guest experiences that are Exactly Like Nothing Else. To celebrate our inclusion into the Autograph family, we set out to create a package that is truly Santa Cruz and one-of-a-kind,” David Currell, General Manager of Hotel Paradox.
