HRC is excited to announce Christina Aguilera will receive the HRC Ally for Equality Award at the 2019 HRC Los Angeles Dinner on Saturday, March 30th, at the JW Marriott LA Live in DTLA. Christina Aguilera is a living legend and a true LGBTQ icon who consistently uses her global superstar platform to share a message of hope and inspiration to those who have been marginalized simply because of who they are. Through her powerful music and her tireless efforts for positive change, she is making a real difference in the lives of countless people while bringing greater visibility to the LGBTQ community. Please join us as we celebrate Christina at the HRC LA Dinner on March 30th!

Yeardley Smith
National Leadership Award

HRC is proud to honor actor, producer, and LGBTQ advocate Yeardley Smith with the HRC National Leadership Award. Yeardley Smith is an Emmy Award-winning actor and producer who has appeared on television, film, and Broadway, and has been the iconic voice of Lisa Simpson for over 30 years. A long-time passionate supporter of the LGBTQ community, she was a leading advocate and contributor to the fight for marriage equality and was the single largest funder in the fight against California’s notorious “Proposition 8.” Following the horrific attack on Orlando’s Pulse Nightclub, Smith joined forces with other leaders in entertainment for an inspiring tribute recounting the individual stories of the 49 victims — most of whom were LGBTQ and Latinx. In the face of the Trump-Pence administrations relentless efforts to undermine and roll back the critical progress made for the LGBTQ community, Smith helped fund HRC’s unprecedented 2018 midterm efforts to mobilize voters and successfully flip the U.S. House of Representatives to a pro-equality majority.

Table Captains are the heart of the HRC Los Angeles’ dinner attendance. Each Table Captain strives to fill a table of 10, creating their own guest list and spending an inspirational evening surrounded by friends and family. If you’d like to select the nine people who will sit at your table, just become a Table Captain. Remember, Table Captains are not financially obligated to fill the table. As a “thank you” for helping to support the drive for equality, Table Captains are listed in dinner advertisements, invitations, and program books.
