FOR BUFFER FESTIVAL’S INDUSTRY DAY

House of Cards Executive Producer Dana Brunetti and Producer & Content Marketing Leader David Beebe will kick off Buffer Festival’s esteemed Industry Day on September 28th, 2017.
Toronto, ON (August 9, 2017) — The creative team behind Buffer Festival is thrilled to announce that Oscar®-Nominated Producer Dana Brunetti and Emmy® Award-Winning Producer David Beebe will be this year’s designated keynote speakers. Brunetti and Beebe will kick-off Buffer Festival’s calendar of events on September 28th at the festival’s “Industry Day.” Industry Day features case studies and panel discussions with notable industry executives and thought leaders.

Known for groundbreaking deals and helping spearhead award-winning shows in the digital era, Dana Brunetti will conduct an engaging fireside chat at the festival. The Oscar-and-Emmy Nominated Producer behind House of Cards, THE SOCIAL NETWORK, and CAPTAIN PHILLIPS will be joining Canadian television personality Amber Mac, who will be hosting the day, to discuss Jameson First Shot, a short film competition for up-and-coming filmmakers. Jameson First Shot, run by Brunetti and Jameson Irish Whiskey, is a platform for emerging filmmaking talent and gives aspiring creators the chance to get their writing/directing skills noticed while working with Brunetti and top Hollywood actors.

Declared a “Branded Content Master Who Makes it OK to Love Marketing,” by AdWeek, Emmy Award-Winning Producer and influential brand storyteller David Beebe will address the rapidly changing media landscape where Hollywood storytelling and brand marketing intersect and where brands are becoming the new storytellers. Beebe co-founded the Disney-ABC Television Group Digital Studio, where he produced webisodes for Ugly Betty, Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, and Scrubs, and was honored by the TV Academy with the Emmy for outstanding creative achievement in interactive media for producing the 83rd Oscars Digital Experience. Beebe also founded the Marriott Content Studio for Marriott International. There, Beebe served as Executive Producer of over fifty original productions including webisodes, documentaries, and brand films, such as the award-winning TWO BELLMEN One, Two, and Three series, BUSINESS UNUSUAL, and FRENCH KISS. In 2017, AdAgenamed Beebe as part of their “40 under 40 Forward Thinkers in Marketing.” He previously produced content for Vin Di Bona, DIRECTV, PBS, and Showtime.
