The second annual Frida Kahlo Art & Music Fest will soon be upon us. The event celebrates the art and legacy of Frida Kahlo with an evening of art, music, poetry and dancing. Whether your an artist or a patron of the arts, the event brings art and music lovers together for a night to remember. It truly was a huge success last year, so it’s no wonder that word about it traveled beyond the southern California region. New York based artist Justine Reichman is displaying her art this year because Kahlo is one of her inspirations, and because of all the good things she heard about it through the art world. There is also going to be a Frida look a like contest, so put on your best Frida outfit if you want to take part. There will also be vendors and one of them is Michelle Morgan, who works for the Boys and Girls Club. Morgan is also a public speaker who just published a book, and she’ll be happy to sign it for you. Let’s not forget about the music, which features some of the very talented southern California based indie recording artists. The event is ages 18 and over and all tickets are considered a tax deductible donation. Pre-sale tickets are $15 or $20 at the door and it includes a free buffet and dessert bar. There is also a VIP package for $35, which includes table seating & wine.
